About our Swim School
Welcome to Holmfirth Swim School, where we offer a fantastic learn-to-swim programme, providing exceptional swimming lessons delivered by our team of experienced and highly qualified instructors.

Our lessons are based around the values of
Fun, Safety, Motivation, Technique and Confidence.
We believe every child should feel safe and confident in the water. Our lessons are designed to help swimmers achieve results quickly and effectively. Our swimmers benefit from three to four times the amount of swimming you would typically find in other programmes, ensuring they make noticeable progress.
We offer plenty of feedback and encouragement, helping our swimmers improve while feeling proud of their achievements.
At the end of each lesson, our instructors update parents on what the class has focused on and outline the next steps in their child’s swimming journey, allowing parents to easily track their progress.

We’re proud to have fully qualified teaching staff, who participate in regular training and our swimmers receive regular ‘water safety and survival’ lessons.

by using positive language and encouragement, as well as celebrating their achievements!
Our teaching staff produce swimmers who move through the water with control. ​
For our beginner swimmers, developing good technique is critical to develop independent swimming.
​For higher level swimmers, technique is essential to optimise distance, speed and stamina.
The ultimate goal is to develop swimmers who are comfortable and capable in the water, as well as helping them grow into confident children.
